SUMMARY:Student Speaker Series
DESCRIPTION:McGill Students for Amnesty International is delighted to be hosting another student speaker series following its success last semester. At this event\, students will have the opportunity to hear students and leaders of McGill University who have experienced political violence and human rights abuses\, or are fighting to protect human rights as activists themselves\, talk about their experience and what McGill students can do to help. \nThrough this conference\, we hope to raise awareness about how human rights abuses that affect our world and our community also affect students right here at McGill. We are honoured to be able to hear their stories and to learn through our speakers’ personal experiences. There will be 3 speakers\, with a short question and answer period after each. \nThis event will take place on Tuesday\, November 26th in Sherbrooke 688\, Room 295. The speaker series will begin at 5:30pm.
